USING CONCEPTUAL SCHEMES WHILE WORKING WITH SCIENTIFIC TEXTS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE WITH HIGHER SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract. The article considers the technique for designing conceptual schemes as one of the methods for organizing the work with foreign texts of scientific style securing their more profound understanding. In this connection the author considers the specifics of scientific style texts, investigates the difficulties of the students’ understanding of scientific texts in a foreign language, examines the typology of conceptual schemes and analyzes the author’s original experience of using conceptual schemes at various stages of work with foreign scientific texts on certain disciplines which are studied in the English language by the students-philologists.
