ON THE CATEGORY OF TIME IN FOLKLORIC TEXT: PROBLEM DEFINITION

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the investigation of the category of time in folkloric text. The author specifies on some variations of folkloric time depending on genre classification. Folk origins of artistic time are examined in the temporal chain corresponding to the genesis of genres: mythological time - epic time - folk historical time - (conditional) real historical time. A certain folkloric text can represent the characteristics of both the single and multiple variations of folkloric time.
