PHONO-CULTUREME AS OBJECT OF TEACHING FOREIGN PRONUNCIATION

Abstract. The issue on the necessity of linguistic-cultural component use in teaching foreign pronunciation is emphasized in the article. The author introduces the notion "phono-cultureme" for designating a new unit of teaching foreign phonetics having social-cultural informativity. Possible methods of working with phono-culturemes of different categories at three stages of a phonetic skill formation are suggested.
