FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDY BY STUDENTS IN PROCESS OF SELF-GUIDED LEARNING

Abstract. This article analyses the foreign language study by the students of non-language specialties in the process of self-guided learning. As an example "Student’s Portfolio" is considered as one of the forms to evaluate creative advances and achievements in learning foreign language. Using the portfolio in academic process allows evaluating both the academic advances and scientific achievements of a student and his/her readiness for professional career. The authors pay attention to the positive effect which is made by bilingual education onto the process of foreign language teaching and quality control of students’ knowledge.
