Abstract. The article presents the hypothesis about four types of relationship of two artistic strategies - anecdotal and parabolic ones that defined the genre originality of the small military epics (short story and tale). As the basis of the typology the author discusses the main principles of their relationship: parallelism, inclusion, intersection and overlaying (application). The theoretical positions are proved by the analysis of V. P. Nekrasov’s novel "Victory Day" (1983).
