SELF-STUDY IN TEACHING READING AND WRITTEN INTERPRETATION OF CULTUROLOGICAL AND COUNTRY-SPECIFIC TEXTS IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article analyzes the role of independent work in teaching reading and written interpretation of culturological and country-specific texts at foreign language lessons. It describes the author’s original methods of teaching schoolchildren independent work associated with the development of skills for reading and written interpretation of foreign texts of the mentioned subject area.
