CONCEPTION OF HONOUR IN THE MEDIEVAL AND MODERN ENGLISH LINGUOCULTURE

Abstract. The article is prepared within the framework of topical field of axiological oriented linguistics. The author examines the notion of honour, representing itself as a value for the English-speaking-world. Honour as a value notion is investigated in dynamics by the example of medieval culture within the framework of chivalrous code of behavior and the modern English linguoculture. The paper presents the results of analyzed fiction, websites articles, questionnaire among the bearers of the English linguoculture, identifies the basic features of the notion of honour.
