DISTINCTIVE FEATURES OF ONOMATOPOETIC WORDS IN RUSSIAN AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

Abstract. The article considers the distinctive features of onomatopoeic words of the Russian and Uzbek languages. The grammatical properties of the Uzbek units in this category, not peculiar to the Russian onomatopoeia, are expounded in detail in a comparative aspect. The author deliberately uses in this article the term "taqlids" and not "onomatopoeia" as it more accurately conveys the features of the Uzbek onomatopoeic words.
