REPRESENTATION OF UASTYRDZHI IN MYTHOLOGICAL POETRY OF THE OSSETIANS

Abstract. The article considers the general and national specific features of the calendar-ritual poetry of the Ossetians. Theoretical propositions are supported by the examples from the ritual poetry of an autumn cycle. The author analyzes the classic in poetic relation examples about Uastyrdzhi (St. George), who is the most revered patron in the pantheon of the Ossetians, and the well-being on the Earth depends on his will.
