EVALUATIVE COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES OF NETWORK NEWS DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the evaluative communication strategies by the material of the English-language network news discourse. As a result of the analysis it is found that the communication strategies of confrontation, cooperation and positioning are used with the purpose of evaluation and interpretation of reality and are common to all levels of the network news discourse structure: at the level of article titles to draw the attention of readers and at the level of online news texts with the purpose of manipulative influence.
