ON METHODS OF CREATING SPEECH PORTRAIT OF INFANT FICTION CHARACTERS WITH HELP OF PSYCHOLINGUISTIC MARKERS IN ENLISH-LANGUAGE LITERATURE

Abstract. The article considers different aspects of psycholinguistics used in fiction to represent children’s speech when creating the speech portrait of an infant character; reveals the notion of a typical speech portrait of an infant character; and analyzes various manifestations of the metalinguitic activity of a child. The aim of the article is to cover the most frequent methods of representing the fact that the speaker is a child in the English-language literature.
