FREQUENCY OF USING ILLOCUTIONARY VERBS IN TEXTUAL REPRESENTATIONS OF SPEECH ACTS

Abstract. The article presents the results of studying illocutionary verbs used in newspaper texts for denoting speech acts. One of the main objectives of the study is to determine the frequency of using such verbs, and it allows correlating the obtained data with the functions of publicistic discourse. The result of the work is the construction of the frequency series of the most used in newspaper texts illocutionary verbs, as well as the theoretical substantiation of the data.
