Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of teaching speech communication in a foreign language to students of nonlinguistic higher education establishment. The difficulties in teaching foreign language speaking and the ways of their solution are considered. The characteristic features of teaching dialogue in a mixed form, as well as control of well-formedness of foreign language communication abilities and skills in the context of the specialty are analyzed.
