Zhenevskaya Evgeniya Viktorovna
Far Eastern Federal University

Abstract. The article considers the cultural and historical background of incorporating the British concepts oak in the Australian and cedar in the New Zealand linguo-cultures and their evolutionary changes. The structural composition of these concepts, which allows tracing the dynamics of their development in the Australian and New Zealand worldviews, is considered. It is ascertained that on the early stage of the Australian and New Zealand worldviews formation the concept core is subjected to the replacement of functional features that are relevant for the British with the functional features that are important to Australians and New Zealanders. The increase in the number of conceptual features in the modern worldviews of Australians and New Zealanders is marked. The hypothesis of assimilation and incorporation of the British concepts into the Australian and New Zealand worldviews is substantiated.
