Abstract. The article examines the specifics of R. Bradbury’s poetics - inter-textual contacts in the works of a fantasy writer. Using in his works the images created by other writers Bradbury reveals his own figurative world. It becomes not merely a device but a principle of Bradbury’s poetics. The paper investigates the influence of poetry on the writer’s works, confessional nature of Bradbury’s prose (which has its origins in the poems by George Gordon Byron, W. Whitman, S. Plath, E. Dickinson).
