MYSTERY OF M. YU. LERMONTOV’S "LOPUKHINA’S CYCLE"

Abstract. In the article M. Yu. Lermontov’s works devoted to Varvara Aleksandrovna Lopukhina and lyric messages, which are organically included in the general background of the considered cycle and very likely belong to him, are analyzed. In most cases the poet’s works have no strong real and historical associations; it influences their perception and comment. In spite of the sufficient study of M. Yu. Lermontov’s love lyrics some works belonging to "Lopukhina’s Cycle" is still disputable.
