DIALOGUE WITH GOD AS SPECIAL KIND OF POETIC DIALOGUE (BY THE MATERIAL OF WORKS BY G. R. DERZHAVIN AND K. N. BATYUSHKOV)

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of a dialogue with God as a special kind of a dialogue in the poetic text. Two kinds of dialogue with God are considered: the dialogue, correlating with liturgical prayer, and the dialogue, not correlating with prayer. The dialogue is studied in several aspects: communicative, stylistic and functional. The material of the study is the works by G. R. Derzhavin and K. N. Batyushkov. The specificity of the dialogue with God in the creative works of G. R. Derzhavin and K. N. Batyushkov is determined: the dialogue with God expresses the desire of a lyrical hero to cognize himself through God and, vice-versa, to cognize the nature of God through a man. As a result of the research it was revealed that there are two forms of the dialogue with God in the poetry of G. R. Derzhavin (correlating with prayer and not correlating with prayer), and these two forms get mixed up in the poetry of K. N. Batyushkov. The article defines the functions of nominations typical of colloquial speech (dear God).
