Abstract. The article tells about the literary perfection of translations of rarely recollected poet and translator Ivan Kozlov by the example of famous poems "The Burial of Sir John Moore" and "The Evening Bell". The texts of Kozlov are original, which is manifested both in the interpretation of themes, and in the structure of poems, sound instrumentation, and the accuracy of rhythm.
