POEM "ANGEL" BY M. YU. LERMONTOV FROM THE STANDPOINT OF ORTHODOX DOCTRINE ABOUT HEAVENLY HOST

Abstract. The author for the first time within the framework of a scientific article analyzes a poem "Angel" by M. Yu. Lermontov from the religious-philosophical point of view, and tells that in this poem the poet creates the picture of the beginning of world’s way for "young soul". The image of Angel is personified and is part of angel-man-demon triad. The interpretation of ontological contact between a man and Angel in the eponymous poem is performed within the framework of the topical problems of modern Lermontov works studies. The image of Angel in M. Yu. Lermontov’s eponymous poem is completely consistent with the orthodox doctrine about heavenly host.
