NOVEL "THE KHOLMSKY FAMILY" BY D. N. BEGICHEV AND COMEDY "WOE FROM WIT" BY A. S. GRIBOEDOV AS INTERTEXT

Abstract. The author tells about the intertextual relations of literature of the middle of the XIX th century by the example of the use of parallels, quotations, reminiscences from Griboedov’s comedy "Woe from Wit" in temper-descriptive novel "The Kholmsky Family. Some Features of Tempers and Way of Life, Family and Alone, of the Russian Nobles" by D. N. Begichev, and also shows the role of the novel in the aspect of a broad range of "average" readers familiarization with a literary masterpiece of their time.
