Abstract. The author considers the features of the Chinese classical poetry in order to reveal the main differences from the western poetry, such as for example – the poetic implication presented in many Chinese poets’ poems, gives its definition, reveals the basic meaning and also the reasons of its origin, and proves the topicality of this question especially for teachers of Russian as a foreign language, working with the Chinese audience and considering not only literary texts but also poetry in classes of the Russian language.
