TECHNIQUES OF PERSON’S NAMING TABOOIZATION IN MULTICULTURAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The author analyzes the techniques of tactful and tactless person’s naming in the English language, describes the characteristics of their social markedness and the features of their perception in the English-language public communication, explains the connection between the notions "tolerance", "political correctness" and "taboo", substantiates the necessity to acquire tolerant behaviour tactics, and tells that these tactics include the techniques of person’s naming tabooization by such categories as social status, profession, ethnic nationality/race, physical and mental characteristics, sex and age.
