Abstract. The problem of studying the poetics and style of Komi people’s fairy tales includes the research of its stable poetic structures – traditional formulae. Up to now they have not been the subject of special study. In this regard, the author for the first time reveals the general list of initial formulae of Komi fairy tales, researches their varieties, originality, the place in the composition of a fairy tale, and for the comparison involves the Russian fairy tales texts, published in various collections.
