Abstract. The author substantiates the increasing need to study Koryak folklore vocabulary by the reason that it is practically unstudied sphere of palaeo-Asian studies, researches the lexical aspect of Koryak folklore corpus texts, in particular such units as native and borrowed vocabulary, frequency lexemes in corpus folklore texts, words and word combinations in their expressive function, and in this regard reveals the frequency of lexical means typical of Koryak folklore corpus texts.
