MYTH AND BIOGRAPHY IN M. KUZMIN’S NOVEL "THE EXPLOITS OF ALEXANDER THE GREAT"

Abstract. The author sets an aim to consider the genre of M. Kuzmin’s work "The Exploits of Alexander the Great", describes the writer’s myth about Alexander, shows connections between two genres, conducts analysis that allows revealing the features of the work genre and identifying modifications that originated with this category, and concludes that these genre innovations are associated with the mutual influence of two genres that leads to the formation of such special syncretic variety as a mythological biography.
