NEW IN LEXICAL PARADIGMS OF THE GERMAN AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES AS RESULT OF ENGLISH-LANGUAGE INFLUENCE

Abstract. The author considers the English-language influence on the vocabulary of the German and Russian languages, and pays special attention to the description of Anglicisms borrowing results – the phenomenon of homonyms and the origin of homonymic series, as well as typical to the modern German language phenomenon of homography, formation of mixed series of homonyms and homographs, the diversity of synonymy types, and the presence of synonymous series, where Anglicisms dominate, polionymy.
