SPECIFICITY OF TEACHING NONLINGUISTIC HIGHER EDUCATION ESTABLISHMENT STUDENTS TO USE FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION TEXTS READING FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Abstract. The authors show the significance of teaching nonlinguistic higher education establishment students to use reading for specific information in foreign language classes, consider the features of this type of reading when working with texts in the specialty, analyze the conditions for effective teaching of reading for specific information, describe the stages of the work with the text, and as an example present the detailed plan of a lesson devoted to the development of students’ skills of reading for specific information, studied in the direction of "Geology".
