INTIMIZATION OF NARRATION IN BOOK "OURS" BY SERGEI DOVLATOV

Abstract. The author reveals the notion "intimization of narration". The essence of this technique, extensively used in S. D. Dovlatov’s prose, and in particular in the book "Ours", is to minimize the communicative distance between the author and the reader. The main narrator’s aim in this case is to "immerse" at most the reader into literary material, using the effect of chat, a certain dialogue in the monologue text. Intimization of narration is one of the journalistic origin manifestations in S. D. Dovlatov’s creative work. Meanwhile the presence of journalistic dominant in the text is a key feature of writer’s idiostyle.
