Ivanova Irina Nikolaevna
North Caucasian Federal University
Abstract. The author discusses the current state of the "village" theme in the native prose of the 2000s – the beginning of the 2010s of the XXI st century, considers some phenomena of modern literary process as continuing the tradition of classic village prose of the 60s-70s of the XX th century, or, conversely, as polemical towards it; and raises the following problems: whether it is rightful today to talk about the traditions of village prose, whether it is just a local phenomenon of the Soviet literature in the second half of the XX th century, or whether it should be considered in broader cultural-historical context.
