DYNAMIC TENDENCIES IN SEMANTIC DEVELOPMENT OF KEY LEXEMES IN THE SYSTEM OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE BUILDING TERMINOLOGY

Abstract. The author considers the semantic development of the English language building terminology lexemes, conducts the etymological analysis of lexical units of building terminology, for these purposes uses the method of etymological scaling by constructing the scales that reflect the origins, development over time and current state of the analyzed term as well as the dynamics of relevant referential field, and by means of these scales considers the key terms of seven thematic micro-fields in order to reveal semantic processes for transforming terms.
