Abstract. The author considers the creative works of Yakut prose writer I. P. Nikiforov in the terms of folklore influence on the formation of individual-authorial style, in the course of the analysis reveals both traditional canonical texts and their authorial variations, and tells that folk poetics of archaic genres, used in writer’s creative works, also has ethnographic context.
