TO PROBLEM OF MATERNAL ARCHETYPE IN NOVELISTIC CYCLE "RED CAVALRY" BY I. E. BABEL

Abstract. The author considers the features of maternal archetype functioning by the material of novelistic cycle "Red Cavalry" by I. E. Babel, and ascertains that the symbolist context and the associated with it the motive of God’s Mother desecration are important in the formation of God’s Mother invariant motive, and though the most archaic mythological aspects are actualized.
