ON TYPOLOGY AND TOPICALITY OF V. M. SHUKSHIN’S HEROES (BY THE MATERIAL OF STORIES "THE STRONGS ARE COMING", "THE STUBBORN", "THE PSYCHO", "THE SKETCHES TO PORTRAIT" AND FILM BY S. NIKONENKO "HOLY SMOKE!..")

Abstract. The author pays special attention to the stories by V. M. Shukshin "The Strongs are Coming", "The Stubborn" and "The Sketches to Portrait", which choice is conditioned by their use as the basis for script to the film by S. Nikonenko "Holy smoke!..", basing on the analysis of these works, and the story "Psycho" substantiates the thought about the possibility to single out the special subtype of Shukshin’s stories heroes, not previously mentioned by the researchers of his creative works, and concludes that the embodiment of this subtype in the main hero image in Nikonenko’s film emphasizes its topicality in the era of "restructuring".
