INVARIANT MEANING: PROBLEM HISTORY AND PRACTICAL USE WHILE ANALYZING POLYSEMANTIC ADJECTIVE TRUE STRUCTURE

Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notion "invariant", which is considered within general meaning conception limits in native and foreign linguistics and is used for determining the semantic components that are the basis of the polysemantic word meanings making up its semantic structure in accordance with the average language bearer’s intuition. The author pays special attention to invariant meaning conception use while analyzing polysemantic words semantic structure by the example of the English polysemantic word true.
