Abstract. The article is devoted to one aspect of the problem of secondary school pupils’ speech development – the work on speech mistakes as one of the direction of a textual approach that allows pupils to form successfully their knowledge of the Russian language, develop their verbal skills and abilities, prevent and overcome speech mistakes in oral and written speech.
