STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC FEATURES OF ENGLISH IT ACRONYMS FROM COMPTIA A+ VOCABULARY

Abstract. The author considers the content of the notion "main IT acronym" from the point of view of structural models of abbreviation, word building techniques, role and place of constituent elements in the semantic structure of the whole word. The author pays special attention to the cases of semantic variation in IT terms and processes accompanying the assimilation of IT terms into the General English language.
