RECEPTION OF SASHA SOKOLOV’S CREATIVE WORKS IN CRITICISM OF RUSSIAN EXPATRIATE COMMUNITY IN THE 1970S-1980-S

Abstract. The article is devoted to the reception of Sasha Sokolov’s creative works in emigrant criticism of the 1970s-1980s. Basing on the author’s classification of criticism types, the correlation between the belonging of a critic to journalistic, literary or academic environment and the nature of his perception of Sokolov’s works is shown; the process of integrating the writer into literary canon is analyzed in dynamics. The conclusion is made about the extreme uniqueness of each of the critics who wrote about Sokolov in this period, the possibility to tell that as a result Sokolov’s metatext is formed around their reviews, and the need to consider critics’ reaction within the framework of history of their own literary tradition.
