D. MEYERBEER’S OPERA "ROBERT LE DIABLE" IN RUSSIAN MUSIC CULTURE OF THE 30S OF THE ХIХ TH CENTURY AND P. ERSHOV’S CREATIVE WORKS

Abstract. The author considers the significance of D. Meyerbeer’s opera "Robert le Diable" in the formation of the Russian musical theater in the 30s of the ХIХ th century, and its influence on P. P. Ershov as the author of the libretto of the opera "The Terrible Sword", where the artistic experience of the poet-storyteller is manifested as well as his aim to create national musical dramaturgy, affecting the sphere of the state ideology.
