COGNITIVE AND AFFECTIVE FACTORS OF SUCCESSFUL FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT HIGHER SCHOOL

Abstract. The author considers cognitive and affective factors that influence the success of foreign language learning and teaching processes at higher school, and pays special attention to the consideration of a trainee from the standpoint of cognitive theory as a thinking being, an active processor of information, as well as to the role of motivation and its varieties in learning foreign language and principles of its successful teaching at higher school.
