"TELL LITTLE, BUT DO IT WELL": ACTION CHARACTERISTIC OF ABSTRACT TRANSLATION

Abstract. The authors present the fundamental aspects of abstract translation as a complex type of foreign language speech activity, pay particular attention to the stage of the analytic processing of the original, which consists in the comprehension, understanding and compression of the perceived information, and touch upon the question about the optimal level of source text understanding in relation to the general requirements for the qualification of an interpreter-reviewer.
