Abstract. The author reveals the peculiarities of the functioning of polypredicative sentences with parataxis and hypotaxis in screenplays dialogues in the position of such dialogic communication unit as a communicative step, and pays special attention to the analysis of the formal organization and informative structure of a polypredicative sentence.
