STRATEGIC COMPETENCE FORMATION AT THE INITIAL STAGE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract. The author reveals the content of the notions strategic competence, strategies and communicative strategies as applied to a foreign language teaching, pays special attention to strategic competence formation methods at the initial stage, analyzes different classifications of teaching strategies, and comes to the conclusion that the successful formation of strategic competence improves students' attainment level.
