ABOUT WORKING ON CONCORDANCES PROCEDURE

Abstract. The article reveals the basic notion concordance, its origin history, structure, basic functions and tasks. The author opposes dictionaries and concordances according to several scales, pays special attention to the numerous and various as to content and construction principles dictionaries of fiction authors' language and considers in detail W. Shakespeare's open concordance dictionary entry structure.
