Abstract. The author considers Bunin's literary, personal and social-cultural ties with England. Bunin's dialogue with England and Englishmen is long and reflects his artistic tastes, personal orientations and political beliefs. His distinctness partly clarifies the perception of Bunin's creativity in England.
