Abstract. The article reveals the content of the term "computer technologies" and the value which they get in modern higher professional education. In the article the authors pay the main attention to the theoretical and practical bases of using informational technologies (electronic text book, platform WEB CT) for the arrangement of independent work of senior year students while teaching professional foreign language in technical institute of higher education.
