Abstract. In the article the problems connected with the intercultural communication and the formation of inter-cultural competence are researched, the questions of national-cultural nominations are considered. Special attention is paid to the phytonimic vocabulary, to the comparative analysis of the national-cultural component of the Russian and German languages.
