MYTHOLOGY AND ARTISTIC PICTURE OF THE WORLD:THE IMAGE OF WERE-FOX IN Y. MAMLEEV'S STORY "TEACHER"

Abstract. In the article the image of were-fox (Y. Mamleev's story "Teacher") is considered. The archetype of were-fox fulfills the function of the mediator between the worlds, between Existence and Nonexistence, between Terrestrial and Extraneous in which the Absolute finds itself as the result of the metaphysical reconsideration of the eastern myth about were-animals. The interpretation of the mythological creature in the context of "metaphysical" text helps to reveal the specificity of the connection of mythology and artistic picture of the world.
