STYLE AND GENRE: CORRELATION AND INTERRELATION OF CONCEPTS

Abstract. Recognizing that a genre is characterized by the unity of composition, theme and style, the author suggests considering a style as the system of dynamic balancing between diverse text parameters, between composite and thematic elements of text. It is said in the article that the problematics of genre researches is so complex and various that it cannot be solved within the framework of genre stylistics as it demands the significant expansion of research methods. Such broad approach can be presented in such area as genre studies.
