CRITICISM OF HISTORICISM IN FRIEDRICH VON HAYEK’S PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPTION

Abstract. The bases of historicism criticism in Hayek’s philosophical and methodological conception are identified. Following the principle of methodological nominalism Hayek shows interdependence of two basic interpretations of historicism (as historical determinism and historical relativism). The foundation of historicism criticism in Hayek’s conception is a "compositive" theory of society, in which social order is considered as an unintentional result of many individuals’ activity.
