Abstract. The article proposes a method to evaluate ergonomic management of an automated information system. The authors assess integral ergonomic parameters, which, on the one hand, characterize all the communicants of the system and, on the other hand, correlate with engineering and psychological potentials of the human-operator when perceiving information through the visual channel. This method allows substantial raise of the human-operator’s working efficiency in the control loop of an automated system.
